Does your non-profit organization serve children, honor and acknowledge birthdays and support social-emotional learning?
If you have answered "yes" to the above questions, Emotion Literacy AdvocatesTM (ELA) invites your organization to join our list of programs supporting children with The Full Spectrum Birthday Song CD and ELA will donate your requested number of CDs to your organization!*
Please send us a total or annual number instead of a monthly number so that we can send one package. Upon receiving your information, we will add your organization's name to our list of receiving organizations along with a description of your birthday program and a web link, upon request. Emotion Literacy AdvocatesTM is delighted to partner with organizations that participate in the lives of children in this celebratory and emotionally-supportive way. ELA would be so pleased to contribute to your contribution to the growing and developing lives of children. *Please note: This is a pilot program, therefore, our "send" date is yet to be determined. We will certainly keep you posted on timelines as they develop. Thanks for your consideration. The show premiered on September 30th at Children's Museum Seattle to an appreciative audience of parents and children.
Running time: 30 minutes Show requirements: 8' x 6' floor space for our puppet stage, an electrical outlet and an audience.
"The puppet show was engaging and lively! ...a wonderful presentation for our Saturday Morning Series. We were so pleased with the program and feel that it added greatly to our focus on the theme of Believe in Yourself. Your generosity is much appreciated and we had a great time. Looking forward to working with you again. Thank you."
Julia Perry Educational Programming Manager The Children's Museum, Seattle
Pickles Gladding is talented. Many would agree. She has won every pickle recipe contest she ever entered, so Pickles believes in herself--"big time!" But does Pickles believe in herself whole-heartedly? Pamela, the strolling minstrel, visits Pickles to discuss Clifford, The Big Red Dog's big "believe in yourself" idea and ponders the idea of losing a contest. Pickles poo-poos the idea and boasts of her infallibility. During their visit, Pickles receives a phone call that rocks her boat. Pamela sings Pickles a song that steadies the stormy sea of her disappointment and inspires Pickles to think of a big, buoyant and feeling-full idea of her own about what it means to believe in yourself. Suggested age: children: ages 4 to 12 & adults Services OverviewServices take the form of evocative presentations by founding artist Pamela Sackett, interactive workshops, and emotion literacy programs developed in collaboration with our stable of emotion literacy advocate artists. Consulting and coaching on the use of feeling-inclusive language for creative and professional projects is available for individuals or groups. ELA's services are particularly applicable for those who seek to strengthen and fine-tune their communication skills for:
"What we looked at here is extremely relevant to my work. Every teacher should be asked (required) to take this course on emotion literacy."
-- Connie Thomas, Seattle public school teacher "Your words touch upon the issue of vulnerability in a most relevant and insightful way, a key issue given our current and on-going world circumstances!" -- Seattle minister "...what a huge impact your advice and guidance has had on my freeing of my emotions and my mothering of my daughters would not be what it is without your gifts of knowledge! I cannot stress this enough!" -- L. M., parent of 3
